These are fantastic little snippets of the cuisine of each city.  The tours involve some walking, and are not "stuff your face" extravaganzas.  They're about actually tasting the food, and appreciating nuances and variety. 

Seattle options:

 

#1: Standard Tour  $39.00/person

  • No minimum, if participants are willing to join up with a regular tour
  • For private tours, a minimum of 8 paying participants, plus 18% gratuity for tour guide.

 

#2:  Tour + Forget the Diet $59.00/person

Standard tour + an extra four flights of dessert wine and fabulous local chocolate pairings at a tasting room afterwards.  Price is inclusive of gratuity for the tasting room, but not for the tour guide.

#3:  Tour + Blind Wine Tasting 101 $59.00/person

Standard tour + a blind tasting of six different Washington wines at a local tasting room.  Taste some of Washington’s prized red grape varieties and see if you have what it takes to be the next wine expert.  Taste 6 wines and evaluate color, flavor, and overall preference.   Guess them all correctly and you’ll take home a prize!  This would take an additional 1 – 1.5 hrs.  Price is inclusive of gratuity for the tasting room, but not for the tour guide.

#4: Tour + Make Your Own Wine $109.00/person

 

Standard tour +  blend your own & take home a personally blended bottle of wine at a tasting room.  Work with a local artisan Washington winemaker and learn the whys and benefits of blending not just varietals, but also the same variety from different vineyards. Taste some Italian varieties like Sangiovese and blend your own Super Tuscan and taste and blend barrel samples of three separate vineyards of Cabernet Franc. What about a little Malbec or Merlot? This will be a rare opportunity to taste great wines in process and learn why and how blending is such a critical and artistic part of making your wine experience wonderful.  Price is inclusive of gratuity for the tasting room, but not for the tour guide.

#5: 1-hr mini-Tour + 3-course meal at renowned local seafood restaurant $79.00/person or $89.00/person (includes 1 glass of wine with dinner)

Shorter 1-hour mini food and cultural tour through Pike Place Market.  Then concludes with a delicious sit-down meal at renowned local seafood restaurant, operated by one of Seattle's most acclaimed chefs!  Price is inclusive of gratuity for the tasting room, but not for the tour guide.
