Packing (Go)Light(ly)

Oh the joys of European cheapie airlines, and their completely unrealistic luggage weight restrictions.  I'm not sure how badly dressed Easyjet would like us to be, but 5 pairs of shoes for a 10 day trip is really putting a crimp into our style.

The "5 pairs" includes flip flops.

Items of clothing that you can combine in multiple, myriad ways, are the key.  And that is where our new favorite website Polyvore, comes in.

This is one Airport Ensemble we created.

Base layer, jeans, jacket, fun trenchcoat (which wouldn't fit in your bag), flats for airport sprinting, glasses so your eyes don't get too dry from the contacts, and your two pieces of carry-on luggage.

The site is completely addictive, and actually quite useful.  You can upload your own clothing, accessories, etc. and create outfits for future wear.

For the time-pressed, this is invaluable.

Unless you end up spending hours and hours on Polyvore, creating ensembles for no real reason.  Hypothetically.

Sometimes we have days where we can pull a chic look together in minutes.  Other times...we have difficulty matching a white t-shirt with a pair of jeans.  Polyvore can help.

Do a little virtual packing first, find pieces that will overlap and match various other pieces and we promise it will be like you have your own little valet.  And that little valet will "Oh Puh-leeeez" at Easyjet's 44 pound limit.

And if that's not enough?  Check this out:
