Wear-It-To-Travel Wednesday - Katherine Heigl

I have been fond of Katherine Heigl, ever since she unleashed some verbal whup-ass on Isaiah Washington for being a hater.  That  Izzy Stevens is sassy.  Katherine seems to be the new Fashion Darling of the red carpet, and can do no wrong with most of her chosen ensembles.

This one is no exception.  She is not wearing 27 Dresses for this trip, which is good as airport security would undoubtedly make her remove 26 of them before passing through the detector.

She is dressed in functional layers:  red top (base piece), cardigan, and carrying her coat and scarf.  The red in her top matches the red in the Burberry plaid, but I'm not sure how I feel about the boots...I get it - they're Burberry, like the scarf, but it is bordering on being too matchy-matchy.  And then the pattern of the cardigan is also bordering on clashy-clashy with the plaid.

But I digress.  For the most part this is a very smart ensemble, and the bag is excellent.  My one concern is that the top appears to be silk, and if she spills any vodka apple juice on it, it will be a mess.

Grade:

A

If the top is a washable material:  A+

My aversion to the matchy-clashy business is inconsequential to the overall functionality of the ensemble.
