Q: What is Holiday Golightly?

A: We are a fabulous travel-planning company that focuses entirely on Girlfriend Getaways.

Q: Are your “getaways” group tours?

A: Not in the traditional sense. Your friends are the “group” – you will not be traveling with random strangers, and there are no large buses involved.

Q: Where do you guys go?

A: Many places! You can browse the site by Destinations, Getaways or Themes from the front page.

Q: What if I have a destination in mind that you don’t offer?

A: We are always taking suggestions for Getaways to add – email us at holiday@holidaygolightly.com!

Q: Why do I need Holiday Golightly?

A: We are extremely knowledgeable, well-traveled individuals, who have done the legwork for you. We know the hotels, we know the restaurants, we know the stuff. You can take any one of our Getaways, and feel confident that you will have a quality experience.

Q: Why can’t I just plan these same trips myself?

A: You can – and we completely understand those of you who enjoy the planning process. Our travel planning services are really here for those who do NOT enjoy the process, and want the dirty work done for them. However our website does also offer useful tools and resources that help facilitate girlfriend getaway travel for planners and non-planners alike.

Q: Do I have to sign up on Holiday Golightly?

A: You don’t have to, but it’s beneficial to you if you do. To use the group planning tools, and have full access to all-things-Holiday-Golightly, you definitely want to be a member. You will also receive our newsletter that updates you on what’s happening.

Q: Do I have to do the included activities?

A: Slacker. You’re not even on the trip yet, and already you’re trying to opt out of the fun? Kidding! The activities are inter-changeable (provided they are available on that particular getaway). When you are going through the check-out process, you can select, or deselect the activities that correspond to your trip.

Q: What is the difference between “Destination” and “Getaway”?

A: Destinations tell you where we offer specific trips. The Getaways are the specific planned programs we offer.

Q: Do you plan custom trips?

A: Our trips are fairly customizable. You have the ability to add (or remove) activities to make the trip suit your style. If you have specific needs, for instance if you wanted to throw a bachelorette shower at the hotel where you were staying, we could definitely facilitate this for an additional fee.

Q: Are the prices confirmed?

A: No – the prices listed are estimated - usually based on a 3-night, 4-person trip with the Getaway’s standard inclusions (see below) plus all fees and taxes. Actual pricing will vary, depending on your specific dates and any optional activities you choose. To get the price for YOUR trip, click the “Build Your Trip” button and we’ll consult with you to put together a quote based on your interests and vendor availability.

Q: What is included in the getaways?

A: All bulleted items on the Getaway page including taxes and fees (please note that restaurant reservations will be made for you, but you will still need to pay for the meals).
